Our Story

Who of us hasn't walked into the office Monday morning, looked over the surroundings and thought, "Here we go again." From this all-too-common-sentiment, CubeSkinz was born.

At CubeSkinz, we want to make your cubicle life better. Bring light to gloom. Happiness to routine.

Our mantra is to take something that we all have to be a part of and make it good. In turn, we'll be happier, cooler people. It's about having a little piece of what you like to do outside the office, inside the office. It's about showing others what you're made of. It's about spending your time in a place you want to be, not a place you have to be. We've been there. We are here to help.

The CubeSkinz concept started one morning as I started into my morning ritual of browsing CNN and doing some mental gymnastics over the daily Sudoku. On CNN, I came across an article that was something like 'Top 10 Cubicle Purchases.' As I read the article, I found myself asking, "Is this really the best America can do? These ideas suck."

As I perused the list, wondering how flower magnets could make the Top Ten list, it dawned on me that someone had to take it to the next level. The next sensible step was to change the atmosphere. Ta Da.

Originally, the concept was called 'CubicleScapes. For the first little while, some coworkers and I played with the idea, brainstorming possibilities, etc. It was fun to think of all sorts of crazy things, but the rubber never met the road. After some time the idea came up again and I thought it was time.

As I got started, I decided the name CubicleScapes was too long and cumbersome, so it was changed to CubeSkinz. And away we go...

We truly hope you are able to find something that makes your life just a bit better. And what kind of people would we be if we didn't ask/beg/plead/pray for your feedback and suggestions. Let 'em rip. We're thick skinned and always looking for something more better to do with our time.
